Exciting Developments Following Scotland Crop Tour

New Office Interior for Wessex
Published on:

In the summer of 2024, Paul Bury, Will Pillinger, Tom Barker, and CEO Gilles Fouquin embarked on a tour of Scotland, visiting spring barley trial sites, distributors, wholesalers, and end users.. From the Borders to Perthshire to Angus, the team enjoyed a packed itinerary and glorious weather. Recognising the critical importance of spring barley in Scotland, Secobra Research is fully committed to supporting this vital crop for the country.

The tour provided valuable insights, particularly in observing the impact of 2024’s extreme wet conditions on trial sites and commercial spring barley crops. Highlights included a visit to Bairds Maltings in Arbroath and trial sites at Inverkeilor, Balgonie, and Laurencekirk.

We would like to extend our thanks to all our hosts for their time, knowledge, and engagement throughout the tour.
